Hendra has more than 25 years of experience. He practiced in Singapore with Latham & Watkins from 2000 to 2004.

Hendra focuses primarily on corporate and M&A, project, energy & infrastructure and corporate and financial restructuring.

REPRESENTATIVE WORK

  • Counsel to PT Alam Tri Abadi in the US$470 million acquisition of an integrated coal mining business in Kalimantan from BHP Billiton.
  • Counsel to the sponsor in the development of an integrated coal mining business in Kalimantan which includes land transport and seaport facilities.
  • Counsel to a private equity firm in the acquisition of an Indonesian maritime business.
  • Counsel to PT Alam Tri Abadi in the US$1.1 billion acquisition of a 100% interest in Agalia Energy Investments and Ariane Investments Mezzanine and to the controlling shareholders in the US$1.3 billion IPO by PT Adaro Energy Tbk. The IPO was recognized as the Deal of the Year by Asian Counsel in 2008.
  • Counsel to Saratoga Equity and other shareholders in the sale of their controlling interest in PT Adaro Indonesia to a consortium of international banks and strategic investors. It was recognized as the S. E. Asia M&A Deal of the Year by Asian Legal Business in 2006.
  • Hendra was part of the Latham & Watkins team which represented Holcim Ltd in its acquisition of a controlling interest and the restructuring of US$1.2 billion debt of a listed Indonesian cement company, PT Semen Cibinong Tbk. The deal was recognized as the Restructuring Deal of the Year by International Financial Law Review in 2001.
