Indonesia’s energy sector continues to evolve rapidly, marked by the government’s increasing commitment to clean energy transition. The latest PLN Electricity Business Plan (RUPTL) for 2025–2034 reinforces this direction, setting out ambitious targets for renewable power generation and the integration of energy storage systems.

This chapter also addresses the introduction of a new regulatory framework governing the guidelines and mandatory provisions for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) applicable to renewable energy power plants.
